"Hiss 'N Hustle" is a great way to musically start off this game after the modified version of "Shake, Rattle and Roll." It's stylistically similar, both being, I think, chiptune adaptations of rhythm and blues, 12 Bar Blues, and ragtime; I'm not 100% sure; I'm not a musicologist.
It's almost like this jovial and upbeat song lures the player into a false sense of security. Here's this isometric NES game (something pretty uncommon, but not unheard of for the console era at that time) with a level designed to get the player familiar with the controls and mechanics, only introducing 2-3 types of enemies, nothing too complicated. The music is appropriately upbeat and bouncy, a nice accompaniment to the bouncing motions of your respective snake. Then Level 2 strikes, and that sunshine-and-rainbows vibe is replaced by aggressively autonomous stomping feet, massive spiked blocks, and the most aggressive toilet seats you've ever seen outside the US Department of Agriculture main offices.
